Artist Supachet creates an original print with black ink. In full regalia, an elephant proudly stands by the river. Elephants hold a revered place in Thai society. Printed and signed by the artist in 2004. Limited edition of 50 prints.
To make this print, artist Supachet uses the linocut printmaking technique. He carves the wanted design into a linoleum sheet with sharp tools. The uncarved areas represent the parts that get printed. He inks the sheet with a hand-powered roller, and then impresses the design onto the handmade saa paper.
This is a limited edition.
