Description:
In this original painting, Rawat Vongla paints Buddha’s face with a distressed finish. Several Dharmachakras float in the air above a blooming lotus. A lotus fully bloomed represents full enlightenment and self-awareness. The artist uses these elements as devotional symbols. He signs and writes his name in Thai at the bottom of the painting.
The Dharma is the teachings and the methods of the Buddha. The Dharmachakra, or Wheel of Dharma, is a symbol that represents the Buddha's teaching of the path to enlightenment.
