Description:
Akha artist Buesui explains her painting: "With a wide smile on her face, the dark body of a benevolent spirit floats in the darkness. She stretches her arms widely. With her four eyes wide open, she can see everything. At night, her red pupils can light the darkness. We Akha people believe that each one of us has her own guardian angel. These angels know what happens in our lives. They watch over us and take care of us at all time."
Signed and painted by the artist in 2011.
