Three pink lotuses rise from troubled waters. The open blooms gently sway whilst the forces of good and evil battle in the background. The pink lotus is the supreme lotus. It represents the historical Buddha and the historical legends of the Buddha. The open lotus signifies enlightenment. Using acrylics, artist Pairote Sitthikaew signs his name in Thai at the bottom of the piece. Painted in 2012.

About the Artist:
This painting was made by Pairote Sitthikaew. The artist was born in the province of Chiang Rai, in northern Thailand. He studied arts at the famed Pho Chang College of Arts in Bangkok. He now lives and paints in Chiang Mai.
