Description:
In the darkness, evil forces bear down on a pink lotus. The pink lotus is the supreme lotus. It represents the historical Buddha and the historical legends of the Buddha. A flawless beam that streams out from the supreme bloom blinds an angry demon. "Goodness is like a beam of light, it illuminates the darkness and wards off evil spirits," says Pairote Sitthikaew. The artist painted this works with acrylics and signed it in 2012.

About the Artist:
This painting was made by Pairote Sitthikaew. The artist was born in the province of Chiang Rai, in northern Thailand. He studied arts at the famed Pho Chang College of Arts in Bangkok. He now lives and paints in Chiang Mai.
