Description:
Jakraphan Chaijit depicts a bird with an elephant head. The artist paints the creature with hot palette of acrylics on a black background and signs the painting. "The concept for this painting is to go beyond oneself by changing passion into a mind of non-self," says Jakraphan.
The Himmapan forest is said to be located in the Himalaya mountains. The mythical creatures that dwell in the forest are combined animals. Thai artists often use their imaginations to represent these creatures. They sometimes borrow features from several creatures to combine their own creatures.
