About the Artisan:
This item was made by Issaraporn Saeyang. She was born into a Lisu family—the Lisu are one of the hill tribes of Southeast Asia—on May 9, 1982.
She cannot get any job because she is not very healthy and gets sick easily. Working for herself is much better as she does what she can when she can. Even though she struggles with sales and many other things in life, at least she is working for herself in her own small business.
At the moment, she stays and crafts her items in Chiang Mai. Whenever she goes back to her village, she also picks up bags made by her sister in law and other villagers who are helping out.
